Review Lesson Five: Cohesion and Coherence

  • Begin sentences with familiar information (it’s in a sentence or two before the current sentence or they bring that information with them to the topic)
  • End your sentences with information your readers cannot anticipate
  • Help them identify topics of sentences quickly
  • Makes topics a connected set
